Utilization of Several Agricultural Wastes into Briquette as Renewable Energy Source

Tobacco stems contain 56.10% cellulose content, 15.11% lignin, 22.44% hemicellulose, and 44.61% total organic carbon, which can be used as a source of energy or fuel. This study aimed to utilize tobacco in briquette form alternative energy. The materials this were stem waste, rice husk, wood charcoal, coconut shell. treatments consisted T1 (100% stems), T2 (80% + 20% shell), T3 husk), T4 (33.33% 33.33% husk shell). fastest combustion rate was found at T3, 0.12 gram/sec, while had the same rate. T4, mixture various materials, no significant difference compared T1, T2, T3. highest calorific value briquettes (4127 Kcal/kg), lowest (2343 Kcal/kg). these longer than that charcoal briquettes, whose average burning is 0.234 grams/second. Overall, provides an overview best combination create from agricultural waste.
